History of MC Squared, Inc.
MC Squared, Inc. is an engineering firm specializing in structural, foundation, and civil engineering; project management; and construction observation. MC Squared, Inc. has worked closely with state, county and local governments since 1982. Our past performance is demonstrated by the fact that the agencies we work with consistently invite us back to work on their new projects and by our steady company growth in the last ten years.
Currently we are working with the public, commercial and private clients on repairs and alterations of their buildings, as well as new construction. In addition, we have on-call service contracts with Thurston County and the State of Washington plus informal agreements with several government agencies.
Approximately 40% of MC Squared’s work involves repairs, remodels, and additions to existing occupied structures; many of these are occupied twenty-four hours per day and seven days per week. It is common for our clients to continue to occupy their facilities while the construction work goes on. For the past 18 years, MC Squared has worked in occupied facilities with critical operations which cannot be closed down to allow for construction. We have worked with the United States Postal Service, the State of Washington, Thurston County, Grays Harbor County, Lewis County, the City of Lacey, the City of Olympia, Georgia Pacific, Continental Can Company, Simpson Timber, Saint Martin’s College, and numerous other private clients. Projects include extensive remodels and additions, repair of damaged roof systems, re-roofing of occupied buildings, major HVAC replacements and upgrades, and regrading projects.
